First Step Finance Wax Something Funny for Money! Local Male Employees Strip for Red Nose Day 2011 Employees at a leading local employer in Stockport, First Step Finance, waxed something funny for money today when male members of the team bravely volunteered to endure hair-free legs, stripped by a beautician from Stockport College. The 200 strong team, led by Managing Director Christine Whitehurst, were helping to support 'Comic Relief Red Nose Day', raising much needed funds to help support people and communities in need both in the UK and Africa. In conjunction with Imagine FM 104.9, Stockport College and Massage Table Store Ltd, the team also held a number of additional fundraising activities for Red Nose Day; including a classic cake bake, selling choctastic cupcakes and fancy flapjacks to name a few and wearing red articles of clothing for the day. Christine Whitehurst said: "All the staff have been superb in their efforts to support Red Nose Day, in particular the braver males of the team. The amount of money they have raised is going to a very worthy cause and helping to change lives forever." Red Nose Day is just one of First Step Finance's initiatives aimed at supporting worthwhile causes. The team will join The Great Manchester 10km Run, 15 May 2011, supporting the children's charity 'When You Wish Upon A Star' and recently trained with former Coronation Street star Nikki Sanderson who is running the London Marathon as one of the Patrons of the charity.
